The respect and dignity shown to my beloved partner after his passing was graceful, caring and with compassion. I admired their values and true care given not just to my partner, but myself. No stone was left unturned as in such a traumatic event, they were guided by our wishes. Halie and the team set a benchmark and i will always be grateful for the ease of the process and how amazingly beautiful the service was.

Halie’s depth of heart, her clarity and understanding of the issues and emotions brought to the surface by critical moments in life and death, give her a singular ability to bring consciousness and acceptance to those grieving the passing of a loved one. After witnessing two of her ceremonies and all the planning and forethought she puts into them, she is the only person I would choose to look after me at my passing.

Death is hard. Even done beautifully, consciously and acceptingly. To have the kindness, care and support of Paperbark when my beloved friend was dying in September was seamless, like the well attuned sacred village death whisperer, no jarring edges; only care, skillful guidance and full respect for our wishes. The thank you I offer to Halie and her service always evokes tears of gratitude.

We couldn’t be more grateful to Halie for the way she carried us through the planning of and the actual funeral with such kindness, care and thoughtfulness. From our first meeting with Halie through to and after the funeral, we felt heard, understood and so securely held by her in our darkest hours. She helped us create something that was not only beyond what we could have hoped for, but also a true reflection of my sister and what she would have wanted.

I am humbled to write a heart-felt review for Paperbark Death Care, a service that is dedicated to honoring the spirit and memory of your loved ones. I have heard of the incredible work that Halie and her team do, and I can confidently say that their approach to death care is both beautiful and profound. Losing a soulmate is one of the most difficult experiences one can go through, and the journey of grief can be overwhelming and daunting.

When my father passed away in January 2022 I wanted to bring his body home for a couple of days before he was cremated. Hallie facilitated the entire process seamlessly. The care and grace with which she cared for my father and our family was exceptional. She helped us at a time when we were vulnerable and grieving in a professional yet deeply kind way. Having her there made the experience more human and less painful. I would recommend Paperbark Death care unreservedly.

Losing my Dad recently was the most difficult time but Paperbark Deathcare made every moment nothing short of magickal. I cannot speak highly enough of Hayley and the team and it was an absolute honour to meet them all and have them take such wonderful care of Dad. All the Love, Always 🤗 As an aside, the location is so easy to get to, everyones'super professional and caters to the needs and wishes
of loved ones.

We are beyond grateful to you for your care and love for Frankie and our Family. How you guided us was in perfect alignment with our darling Frankie's wildness and connection to land and sea. We also appreciate you just jumping in and making it so without ever discussing financial aspects. We hope that this was ok and you feel that your energy, wisdom and time have been valued by us. We feel like you are a part of our family now having walked with us through a profound rite of passage together.

Paperbark Funerals provided us with the sensitive, caring, real and natural guidance we needed in a time of grief. There was so much ease and humanness, all questions thoroughly addressed, meticulous care taken, excellent facilities, all in the spirit of generosity, confidence and humility. Such a delicate time was made into an empowering reclamation of our birthright- to farewell our loved ones with dignity and respect in the manner they would have chosen. We are forever grateful for your amazing community service.
